Pasta e Cici and French Lentils





Meal 1: Pasta e Cici Primavera, Spelt-Flax Batard, Escarole and Romaine Salad

 

· Heat the pasta e cici and allow to simmer and serve.

· Warm the bread and serve with olive oil.

· Dress the salad.



Meal 2: French Lentils w. Local Chevre or Roast Pork & Braised Vegetables

 Best served in hearty bowls.

· Heat the lentils gently stovetop or in a microwave in bursts, stirring gently between bursts.

· Add the vegetables to a sauce pan. Cook over medium, using a lid and allowing the broth to simmer and the vegatbles to steam through. Steam about 2 minutes.

· Veg: Crumble chevre atop the lentils when serving. Omni: Cut the pork into 1" cubes. Heat a very little bit of oil in a nonstick or well seasoned pan. Add the cubes and crisp them on 2-4 sides. About 1 minute per side.



Portion the lentils into bowls, and then serve the braised vegetables and some of their broth beside the lentils. Top the lentils with the crisped pork or crumbled chevre. Serve.
