Flatbread Pizza & Two Curries



Potato, Thyme and Red Onion Flatbread Pizza, Pan Roasted Farro and Chick Peas, Escarole Salad Ragu

  • Bake the pizza on a cookie sheet at 425 for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and beginning to brown. Allow to cool 3-5 minutes then cut and serve.

  • Heat a little oil in a well seasoned or non-stick sauté pan. When hot add the farro and chick peas. Shake and stir to heat, crisp lightly and become fragrant. Serve.

  • Dress and serve the salad.


Spinach-Potato Yellow Dal, Dal Makhani and Basmati Rice Pilaf

  • Heat a little oil in a sauté pan. When hot add the rice. Toss. Allow to get hot and brown a little on the bottom of the pan. Toss again, dress with a little butter or extra oil. Serve.

    Remove the spinach best you can from the yellow dal. Chop it coarsely. Heat the curry gently on the stovetop or microwave. When hot fold in the spinach. Serve atop the rice.

  • Heat the dal makahani on the stovetop or microwave, serve beside the yellow dal and also atop the rice.
